The 2009 Club Captain, Chris Lee, welcomes you to Mellor and Townscliffe Golf Club (MTGC) Many thanks for visiting our website. I hope you will find it most informative. Here you will find details about the various sections of the club. When you visit the club as a guest or as part of a society, then I promise you can be assured of a warm welcome and I am confident you will delight in playing a challenging course with arguably some of the finest views in the country.  The course is in absolutely magnificent condition as I am sure you will find out – this is due to our fantastic greens staff led by Jamie Beech. Over the course of 2008 we have also introduced buggies at very competitive rates for the benefits of members and guests. We have a great club scene at Mellor and on competition days the clubhouse buzzes with the banter of the days play. The club has competitions every weekend throughout the year and we are well represented in all local competitions. As well as the mens section, the ladies, seniors, and juniors all have thriving sections and will welcome new members with open arms. I would also like to state we are extremely proud to be only one of two clubs in the north west of England to hold the prestigious GOLFMARK award for development of Junior golf.

The club also puts on an excellent variety of functions throughout the year. These include quiz nights, dance nights, live music, opera, carol, cheese and wine evenings to name but a few. We are always on the look out for new members and have great offers for new people joining our club. There are currently no entrance fees upon joining the club and pro rata membership fees apply when joining.
