A warm welcome at Mellor Golf Club
Martin and Zoe Russell took over the role of Steward/ Caterers in March 2016. They arrived with over both having 25 years+ of experience in 5* hotels & some of the finest pub restaurants in the country; they have brought a sense pride and more than a touch of quality to the hospitality on offer in the clubhouse. Having also ran their own highly regarded restaurant in the nearby village of Hayfield for 6 years, they have a great understanding of not just the catering industry as a whole; but of the local area as well.
Zoe and her front of house team take great pride in their customer service, ensuring everyone is welcomed with a warm smile.
Martin takes great pride in the food we offer, and with all the experience gained working in matchday corporate hospitality at some of the region’s Premier sports stadia too, you can be assured that whether it’s a busy golf day in the Mellor Room or the most important day in a ‘Bride and Groom’s’ life that we have the knowledge and wealth of experience to deliver a “Top Notch” experience each and every time.

The Mellor Room
The Mellor Room offers a fully stocked bar, it is open from 11am for food every day. We offer a bar snack menu (see link below) and an ever-changing ‘Specials’ menu. We welcome everyone in the Mellor Room from golfers to walkers, or if you just fancy popping in for a bite to eat our door is open to everyone.
We also run occasional ‘Bistro in the bar’ evenings, where you can book a table and chose from a restaurant style menu, where Martin is given the opportunity to demonstrate his own style of modern British cooking.
The Townscliffe Room
Our beautiful function room over looks the 18th hole and in the distance the Manchester skyline. The room is licensed for 120. We can accommodate up to 100 for a sit-down meal and up to 120 for a buffet.
The room is available for birthdays, funerals, wedding anniversaries and private dinners.
We are also licensed for wedding ceremonies and can happily design a package to suit your individual requirements (see link). The Townscliffe room also benefits from a fabulous private outdoor space as well as a balcony and its own private bar area.

Weddings, Events & Catering
In addition to our wedding reception services, we also specialise in Conferences, Birthday Parties, Engagements, Christenings, Wedding Anniversaries, Presentation Evenings, Christmas Parties and Dinner parties. And of course, we are always here for those special occasions such as Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Fathers Day and other family gatherings.

We specialise in organising and managing your wedding day celebration. Each wedding is given our complete personal care with attention to the fine detail that makes the difference. Our management team are at your disposal, to help with your choice of menu, seating plan and any other aspects to make your day one you will remember.
In the Townscliffe room we can accommodate from 20 to 120 delegates for a conference or more informal meeting. We have flip charts, overhead projector, pens, paper etc., available as part of our packages and any other audio visual equipment can be hired, depending on your requirements. Just enquire and we will do our very best to accommodate any request. We can also provide fine dining areas and a bar to relax in before or after your meeting.
