Many golf clubs around the country have benefitted from this idea which basically helps us to maintain the high standards of presentation and condition that have been provided by our greens staff.
Basically, groups of members in 2’s 3’s or 4’s volunteer to ‘adopt’ a fairway for the season and carry out some basic divoting work as and when they have any time to spare. They would keep an eye on ‘their’ fairway and spot when it needs a little attention. The longer holes have been divided into two sectors A and B.
All that is required is a bucket and trowel, dressing can be obtained from the green shed area at all times. Members who volunteer for the more distant holes or who do not wish to carry a heavy bucket may borrow a free buggy (please check with pro-shop re availability).

We have received many plaudits from visitors in recent times regarding our course condition and presentation, this is an opportunity for us all to give our staff a little assistance and to help maintain the standards we enjoy.
Members can sign-up for their fairway in the Mellor Room.
