HOLBEN GOLF ENJOYS A MEMORABLE VISIT TO MELLOR GOLF CLUB
Mellor Golf Club was delighted to welcome Holben Golf for their latest event on Friday, with players enjoying a fantastic day of golf, stunning views and a course presented in excellent condition.
For many visitors, the journey to the club was part of the experience itself. The winding road leading up to the clubhouse offered a sense of anticipation before players arrived at one of the area's most scenic golfing locations.
Upon arrival, competitors were greeted by our traditional clubhouse and a course that quickly demanded their full attention. While the picturesque surroundings provided a memorable backdrop, it was the challenge of the greens that became the main talking point throughout the day.
Our renowned sloping greens tested even the most accomplished golfers, with accurate approach play only representing half the battle. Reading the subtle contours, controlling pace and positioning the ball correctly proved a demanding challenge, leading to plenty of discussion both during and after the round.
The course was presented superbly by our greenkeeping team, with the elevated setting and panoramic views further enhancing the experience for all those taking part.
A fantastic atmosphere filled the clubhouse throughout the morning and continued long after play had finished, with players sharing stories of memorable shots, near misses and the many challenges posed by the greens.
We would like to thank Holben Golf and all the competitors for visiting Mellor Golf Club and are pleased to hear that they enjoyed their day with us. We look forward to welcoming them back in the future.
