OUR NEW HEAD PROFESSIONAL!

We’re delighted to announce that Joe Pownell joined us last week as our new Head Professional!

Joe’s love for golf started at a young age, inspired by a family full of keen golfers - from his grandad and parents to his uncles and cousins. He honed his skills at Fairfield Golf Club, competing in the junior section alongside his brother, before earning a Diploma in Golf Studies from Myerscough College in 2015.

Joe began his professional journey at Ashton-under-Lyne Golf Club, where he spent four years completing his PGA training while gaining hands-on experience as a coach, club fitter, and retailer.

Passionate about helping golfers of all ages and abilities, Joe is especially dedicated to nurturing junior talent and sharing his love for the game with the next generation.
