Played yesterday for the first time and certainly not the last! Wonderful course, tees/fairways/greens in great condition and as for the views!
I require a buggy for a tough track and the cart paths cover all but the full 18 and are very relevant to landing areas without compromising the playing and visual appeal which may seem an odd compliment but relevant.

The course and hospitality were decent. Had a sudden storm come over, and initially, the greens became water logged. Cleared up pretty quickly when the rain stopped. Would play here again.

Great golf course with fantastic views,nice clubhouse great food.Had society day there and we were looked after by all the staff.And the price was brilliant as most other clubs have put their prices up to the point that it's unaffordable. We will be going back

An astonishing course - a true hidden gem.
Course conditions were excellent despite recent downpours. It is a challenge to play both mentally and physically but nonetheless such great fun - please note, if you are aged or not fit then a buggy is critical.
Gary the pro, and the bar staff (as well as the club secretary) made us feel most welcome and I wouldn't hesitate in saying it was was of the best value rounds of golf I've ever played.
It is off the beaten track and consequently not as renowned as other clubs within the area off Stockport and South Manchester region, but is the equal of any I have played for many a long time.
Approach roads are tricky, and due to the elevation of the course then winter golf would mean you must contact the pro before setting off, but the rest of the year this place will bring a smile to your face, and the views alone with the abundant nature and wildlife will bring joy to your heart.
Great bar snacks and meals available also.

The 3rd time that LUR golf society has played this course and each time the weather has been glorious. A very testing course, the 1st nine is very hilly so a test of stamina! Some stunning views on some of the elevated tees. Would recommend a round here.

Really enjoyed the course.  Heard it was difficult to navigate (physical wise) but absolutely loved it! Everything was perfect; greens, fairways, views and hassle free round in a picturesque environment.  Definitely go back.

My favourite golf course to play; it's well worth a trip up.  The views you get at the top of the course are amazing.  The 12th hole is one of the vbest signature holes you will find. All holes are different and challenging and the greens are fast and usually like a carpet.  Plus very friendly people.

The welcome in the pro shop and office was really friendly chats with some members all very welcoming.  Still winter, but the course was in really good condition, the viws from the high tees and greens, just amazing!  It's a tough walk, but worth it.  Thank you Mellor.

I thought I was lost on the way up, but it's a gem of a course.  Staff very friendly and helpful, the hills on the course made for a fun and interesting round.

18 holes on a Sunday afternoon.  What a super friendly and well managed course.  The views from the back 9 are stunning and the course is very well kept.  We'll definitely come back.
